As part of my final project for the VIDAR is the outcome of collaboration between six students from diverse backgrounds and fields — FAME Y.C. Throughout the course we were being taught on the basic principles of yacht design all while working on conceptualizing two yacht projects.
The focus of the Motoryacht Workshop was the design and development of a sub-500GT yacht up to 45 meters. Commencing with an existing semi-displacement hull as our foundation, our objective was to re-think the future of yachting by combining skills and mindsets from a diverse group of students.

VIDAR was designed to accommodate for those who have a passion for extreme sports and want to go above and beyond. The exterior corresponds with the adrenaline-fueled activities which take place by having front-heavy proportions, a strong vertical bow, a large open aft area, dynamic surfacing and smooth organic curvatures.
Counter-balancing the strong exterior is the tranquil and inviting interior. Specifically designed to embody the peace which these sports give to a person. A focus on large open areas, effortless flow, organic shapes and the use of high-quality natural materials aid in creating such an inviting environment.
